Colombo Workshop Marks Successful Conclusion of Ticket to Life Project

 

The recently concluded workshop on the Ticket to Life Project, held from 1st to 4th November 2023, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, marked a significant milestone in enhancing collaborative efforts among partner countries, namely Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. This initiative was led by Mr. Syd Castillo, Director of Educational Methods at the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) Asia Pacific Region, and Mrs. Arjay Francisco, representing the World Scout Bureau Asia‑Pacific Support Centre.

The workshop received a distinguished inauguration with the presence of Mr. Janaprith Fernando, Chief Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association, and Mr. Andrew Wijesuriya, Assistant Chief Commissioner. Their involvement underscored the importance of this project, which seeks to foster similar reporting and project implementation mechanisms across the participating countries.

Notable participants at the event included Mr. Ajit Kumar Lama, the Ticket to Life Coordinator for Nepal, and Mr. Madhav Raj Mainalee, the Business Development Officer. Their presence added valuable insights and perspectives to the discussions and planning sessions throughout the workshop.

The primary focus of the workshop was to align the strategies and goals of the Ticket to Life Project among the partner countries. By streamlining reporting and project implementation processes, the project aims to make a more profound impact on the lives of individuals in the region.
