[:en]Two days exchange programme was held between Nepal Scouts and Guides and Scouts of Finland. A group of 40 Finnish Scouts was welcomed by National STV (Stop the Violence) Committee of Nepal Scouts at National Headquarters on 11th November 2018.

It was honor for the decade’s long relationship between Nepal Scouts and Scouts of Finland. Nepal has been running many projects in co-operation with Guides and Scouts of Finland, as Finland-Nepal Partnership Project (F-NPP). In contrary, Finland has been economically supporting Nepal Scouts to initiate this global programme run under World Association of Girls Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) in Nepal. The group was officially welcomed through a day’s programme of Friendship and Cultural Exchange Programme at National Headquarters of Nepal Scouts, where the group of 40 Finnish scouts and 20 Rover/Rangers from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur participated. A power point on the achievements and ongoing project of STV in Nepal was presented during the day’s programme. Also, different cultural programmes were presented, highlighting the cultural diversity of Nepal.

The group number of 40, also made school visits at different scouts units, where the VAV (Voices against Violence) curriculum are being rolled out. It included a total of 6 schools, 5 from Bhaktapur and 1 from Lalitpur. They meet and interact with the boys/girls scouts of units about the curriculum. Although this curriculum is being taken in many schools of Nepal, only shortlisted schools were visited by the group due to long distance.
