[:en]One day workshop on STV [:]

[:en]One day workshop on the STV was successfully organized by Nepal Scouts with the collaboration of YESS Girls Movement 2019

The program was attended by 30 Rovers, Rangers and Leaders from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. During the session participants discussed the various topics especially focusing on the present theme i.e.#IamHereforHer and #OurStreetToo along with the Generation Equality for Violence against Rape and consent is important. The speakers presented the different relevant and burning issues on gender-based violence. The workshop was also supported by Nepal Police (Women Child and Senior Citizen Department) as a guest speaker along with the open forum, DSP Chiring Kimpa Lama has delivered the present status of violence happening in Nepal, condition of status of women in Nepal and how can we deal with violence and speak out for our rights.

Furthermore, representatives from WAGGGS (Rupa Gautam and Prerana Shakya) have also presented about WAGGGS and its initiatives. The workshop was effective with great success. Everyone was found to be very interactive and hopefully it was fruitful.

 

National coordinator Mr. Lok Bahadur Bhandari has focused on Safe from Harm and bringing youth in front in decision making bodies of NHQ and eradication of older problems and now working on a new unbiased environment with inclusive nature. He also stressed on the CPP and more effective scouting with a growing membership.

All the leaders and participants have agreed and signed the petition from the WAGGGS to Stop the Violence.
