Stop The Violence(STV)

Nepal Scouts has concluded the 4-day “Stop The Violence (STV)” session on June 5, 2022. The training session was conducted virtually through zoom platform. 35 participants selected from all seven provinces took part in the trainings who will further conduct the session in their respective provinces.

Resource persons from WAGGGS, Nefeli Themeli and Anber Raz facilitated the session for four days. The program is expected to create an advocacy platform in regards to gender-based violence around the country. It will further strengthen the knowledge at the local level. During the four day session, participants were equipped with the advocacy tools as well as basic differentiation between gender and sex. Furthermore, the terms such as equality and equity were also introduced during the session. The economic, social and cultural attributes that are associated along with gender and gender-based violence were discussed in the session.

 

Nepal Scouts, envisions a society where no any form of violence is witnessed and in the process, scouts become ambassador of peace. Nepal Scouts is continuously conducting such kind of trainings to the scouts. The 4 day training is also a continuation of the STV and implementation of “Voices Against Violence” curriculum of WAGGGS.
