Organizational Structure and Working mechanism of WAGGGS including Initiatives of WAGGGS

The third day of the session was administered by Ms. Seema Karna, Member, National Ad-Hoc Committee. She presented the welcome remarks and highlighted the continuous delivery of the training through a virtual platform during COVID-19 Pandemic by Nepal Scouts.

The reflection on the previous session held on 14th August 2020 on “Working with Young People”  led by Mr. Ram Prasad Bhattrai, Director of Nepal Scouts was presented by Ms. Laxmi Panta. 

The session was then followed by  Ms. Maiya Twyanabasu, Member, AP regional committee, WAGGGS on the topic “Organizational structure and working mechanism of WAGGGS including Initiative of WAGGGS ”. She talked about the mission and vision of WAGGGS. She further added about total membership which is 10  million in 150 countries of WAGGGS. She also explained the five regions of WAGGGS i.e, Europe, Arab, Africa, Asia, and Western Hemisphere. Moving further in the session, she explained about five World Centers and the Organizational structure of WAGGGS. The participants visited the WAGGGS website through screen sharing and the session lead illustrated the followings from the WAGGGS website:

  1. How WAGGGS empower young women to speak out and take action to influence others
  2. How WAGGGS offers training to develop leadership skills
  3. How does Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting create empowering youth learning experiences
  4. How corporate partners helps to deliver more innovative, effective and successful projects and programmes
  5. Governing bodies of WAGGGS

The third-day session entitled “Organizational structure and working mechanism of WAGGGS including Initiative of WAGGGS” conducted by Ms. Maiya Twyanabasu, Member, AP regional committee, WAGGGS was successfully concluded with 67 participants. Mr. Bijendra Dhowju, Member, Ad-Hoc Committee concluded the session with his closing remarks.
